
HORNET.PROMOTE
Hornet.Promote is unified portal for submitting your ESU event. Information Technology, Marketing and Media Relations, and the Center for Student Involvement have developed a single point experience to assist student organizations, departments, and other ESU groups with submitting and sharing your events and information across our digital communication channels.

Hornet TV
A digital poster will appear on digital signage on campus.

Hornet Announcements
Item will appear in the daily announcements digest.

Hornet Calendar
Event will appear on appropriate calendars and websites.

Hornet Events Weekly
Item will appear in weekly events email digest.
Website, QR codes and Shortened URL's
If you need an update to your website, Hornet Site or need a new/updated QR code or shortened/vanity URL, please complete the request form. Website update requests must be made by a WebDAC. QR codes/shortened/vanity URL requests may be submitted by ESU departments or recognized groups in accordance with appropriate use guidelines.

Events must be hosted/sponsored by an ESU department, RSO, or other affiliated group.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Submit the Form.
TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE POSTING DATE
IT, Marketing, and CSI will review and distribute through the appropriate channels in preparation to post.
We will reach out to the identified contact if we need additional information.
Your content will show up on the channels that you selected or as appropriate.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE SUBMITTING AN EVENT?

Content must be submitted in a timely manner and designed according to the specifications. Failure to do so could result in your event being denied.

Hornet Announcements may only be posted once per week.

Hornet TV posts can be posted for 2 weeks or as appropriate related to your content. For digital posters with dates, we will remove them after the event.

Events can only be posted to the Hornet Events email digest the week of the event. Hornet Events cover events from Thursday through the following Wednesday.

Any visual content must meet university branding guidelines.

Unless granted prior approval, all posts must relate to events sponsored or hosted by Emporia State University.

IT, Marketing and Media Relations, and CSI reserve the right to edit, pause, or cancel any item requested for promotion through this process.

For subsequent posts of your event (ex. a follow up Hornet Announcement), you only need to complete the required fields in the form.
